Essay 4. Movie Review (Taken 2)
Taken 2
The original Taken
was one of 2008's best movies, directed by Pierre Morel and written by Luc
Besson with Robert Mark Kamen. This sequel is also written by Besson, but is
written by Olivier Megaton, also with Kamen. The first was relatively realistic.
In the first Liam Neeson's
daughter was taken in Paris and Neeson spent the entire film finding her and
telling her abductors. In this sequel Neeson and his wife (Famke Janssen) are
taken in Istanbul and the rest of the film is Neeson escaping and killing his
abductors.
This one, while tense, is
loaded with some pretty silly things. I don't know which is the silliest, so
I'll just list a couple of them. Neeson uses a handgun that he must've found in
the Republic Pictures prop room because it never needs loading. Liam just shoots
and shoots and shoots and the bullets keep coming. I haven't seen a gun like
that since Gene Autry and Roy Rogers stopped riding the range.
The second one is Neeson's
remarkable ability to find a needle in a haystack. The way he figures out where
he is located after he and his wife are abducted and blindfolded is, indeed,
ingenious. However, when he starts going to look for his wife credulity is
strained to the breaking point.
Maybe the weakest part of
the film is that the bad guys just aren't that hateful. They are led by the
father of the men killed by Neeson in Taken, but the leader, being the
father of a slain son, is basically just a loving father bent on revenge, even
if his son had been a monster. His henchmen are basically nameless and faceless
people whose only purpose is to be slain by Neeson.
Because of the bad
word-of-mouth, and because I did not see it in a screening, I was not expecting
much here. So I was pleasantly surprised when I spent a relatively entertaining
hour and a half. The cinematography (Michael Abramowicz) of Istanbul is
particularly rewarding, and the actors (especially Maggie Grace who reprises her
role as Neeson's daughter) all give fine performances.

Essay 3. If I were rich I would ...
If I were rich I would ...
If I were rich I would do many things.
Firstly, I would travel to as many places around the world . I would visit New Zealand, Hollywood, Paris (with a boy on a romantic trip!) New York, Rio. I would go to Disneyland and above all I would go to California because I have been told that California is a very gorgeous and beautiful place to be.
Next, I would also like to buy a Villa on the beach in Byron Bay, one my village in Italy and one other in another country. Inside my villas there will be several enormous swimming pools, saunas, waiters, chefs, cleaners and a huge TV in the living room. We will have lots of parties with “free entry” for everybody and endless amounts of caviar, champagne and plenty of pizza!!!
Then we will go out in a limousine which has inside of it a mini-bar and a pretty girl who will serve me with sweet cocktails with strawberries and cream. I will buy a convertible Ferrari.
Moreover, I would also like to try many extreme sports in the best places in the world to do this. I would go to play in NBA. I will offer many drinks to my friends and we’ll all go together to the best clubs in the world. I would also like to buy many famous artworks to decorate my house.
Finally, I will give a little bit of my money to charity!

Essay 2. A person who I admire
I admire Micheal Jordan the most.
My highly regarded person is Michael Jordan. He is the greatest basketball player in the history of USA NBA, and called the emperor of baseball. He is such a famous player that all ordinary basketball fans know him, and even outsiders have heard his name once.
Jordan is now retired, but, when he was in his prime, he was the greatest player. His full name is Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Even now, there may be no one who can match him.
He did a very good job in a team called Chicago Bulls. His back number was 23. And his height is 198 cm. His greatest annual salary was 3.9 million dollars when he was in his prime. It was the top annual salary at that time.
Any fan who watched his game always said ' it is a wonder itself.' As for jumping power which is improtant to a basketball player, he was the best player. His official NBA record of flight duration is said to be 2.9 seconds, which is hard to explain scientifically.
After he was retired from the Chicago Bulls, it was decided that his back number 23 would not be used by any other player in the future. Michael Jordan was such a best player at that time.
And rumor says that he is a devoted husband or a good father. Though he was an athletic player, he loved his wife and treasured his children.
Jordan is a holder of records that cannot be beaten by any other player in NBA.
But, a side from superiority in the records, his unchallenged play, powers of concentraion, and charisma in leading games made him the unparalleled emperor of basketball.
And he still remains as a legend. I love basketball, and hope to play it well. I'll do my best and play basketball enthusiastically, although it will be difficult for me to be like Michael Jordan.
I like Jordan and hope to
I admire him , I want to be like him

Now, I am doing my best in studying to realize my dream, and will prepare much faithfully.

Physical health support me with studying and getting a job later. Of course, it may not easy. But, old saying says "Where there's a will, there's a way". Nothing can be impossible by continuous effort.
I will never give up against any difficulty and suffering. After being a teacher, I will get the fruit of pleasure by teaching students . At the end, I pray to be a good teacher truly loving students.
